Suehyla was invited to return this month to Anchorage, Alaska, where, in May, Cyranos Theatre produced the West Coast Premiere of The Perfect Prayer.

During her most recent visit, she taught a four-day workshop for the Growing Up Native in Alaska project; involving the Alaska Native Heritage Center and Cyranos Theatre. The workshop incorporated Celeste Miller's teachings (which El-Attar had the privilege to work with during the Women+War project with Synchronicity Performance Group), Growing Up Native In Alaska, the production, will have it's first public showing in November at Cyranos.

Also, El-Attar spoke on behalf of the Engaging Muslims: Religion, Cultures, and Politics, A Community Education Project Sponsored by the Cardinal Newman Chair of Catholic Theology at Alaska Pacific University.

Finally, in a one-night-only engagement, Cyranos Theatre hosted the first of their staged readings of the season with My Name Is Rachel Corrie. El-Attar performed the reading.

In Atlanta, El-Attar is currently dramaturge for the Synchronicity Performance Group production, starring Courtney Patterson, opening in September.
